In the spirit of increasing access to young audiences, the Symphony is offering FREE tickets to all middle and high school students groups from public schools in Bexar County. The offer is available to all 2015-2016 San Antonio Symphony Valero Classics concerts in The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. We are setting aside only 10% of the capacity so seating is limited.

Music Director Sebastian Lang-Lessing kicks the festival off with an evening of concert works from popular music and jazz legends George Gershwin and Duke Ellington, with the cross-cultural influence of Gershwin’s Latin-themed Cuban Overture, plus The Essential Ellington: Music of Ellington and Strayhorn. The program includes Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue.
